Big Dreams
I just wanted to dedicate this post to Dana as she leaves the islands for a career opportunity in the mainland U.S. Many thanks to her for helping me with posting images despite her hectic and busy schedule! I will miss a friend who also happens to be beautiful and smart with a big, kind heart! A true gem in the vast ocean of treasures to be found.
This photo was taken from the ocean outside of Kailua/Lanikai.
Best wishes, be safe, and too many dreams fulfilled on her new journey.
Sunset... I took this at K Beach - North Shore yesterday. I just want to wish you all a warmest and joyous christmas and happy holidays with your family and friends!!!
Art imitates life. This picture gives you an idea of what I've been up to lately and why I have not been able to post - I don't have any pictures to show =( so I pulled one from my old photos I took while in Canada. This was last August in Banff - Lake Louise!
Below is the amazingly sick surf shot by some newspaper guy on Sunday's great surf at Pipeline, North Shore!!!
While some 28,000+ people treked the 26 miles on foot during the Honolulu Marathon, I chose to relax under some coconut trees in admiration of their accomplishment - esp. the gentleman above with two prosthesis legs and cruches. Simply amazing!
Over 7000 people attended the Stan Sheriff Center at the University of Hawai'i to watch the 12 ranked Rainbow Wahine's beat 5th ranked USC in five sets during the semi finals of NCAA's Regional Volleyball tournament.
Close to 10,000 spectators attended Saturday's match against 4th ranked UCLA. Unfortunate, the Wahine's lost in three sets. UCLA will advance to the Final Four in Omaha Nebraska.
Congratulations to the UH Rainbow Wahines for an amazing season! Good luck to UCLA at the Final Fours! Go Bruins!
Today (Friday), Officer Steve Favela's body was laid to rest at Mililani Cemetary. A funeral procession carrying the remains of Officer Favela passes by the Honolulu Police Department. He died from injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident while escorting President Bush's party at Hickam Air Force Base.
I don't know why, but when I took this photo this afternoon, it reminded me of Athenes, Greco Roman wrestlers so this is dedicated to E.I., Ovelikios and Selana! I'm still catching up with life, school and work in the islands, so I hope to get around to seeing all your wonderful photos this weekend! =)
Bula! =) I decided to return earlier due to the political instability in Fiji, so here's my first photo upon my return - This image was photographed earlier tonight at ~6:30 PM in Waikiki near the Zoo.
