FYI - I am off island at the moment and on another trip to a remote location for about a month and won't have any access to internet connection. In a couple of days, someone else will be posting for me so it may be off and on postings. Have a nice rest of 2006!
...finished first in the nation in punctuality with 95% on-time flights for the last several months. Also, first in baggage handling with only 2.57 mishandled baggage for every 1000 passengers! Hawaiian flies between all the Hawaiian islands, American Samoa, Tahiti, Australia, California, Nevada, Oregon, Washington, Arizona and Alaska. Hawaiian and Aloha airlines are currently in a legal battle with a new airline called "Go!" as the inter-island ticket prices have dropped in half with current inter-island flights going for $39 one way! This is an excellent time to visit all the Hawaiian Islands for a very affordable rate!
This was photographed today at noonish! And, tomorrow is a HOLIDAY!!! *doing cartwheels* =D
I took this photo a couple of weeks ago but I thought I'd post this today since I did not get to take anything today.
Check out this really neat "widget" tool written by Frederik Botton that allows you to view the latest City Daily Photos. Before installing the widget, you will need to install this other Yahoo software for the Widget to work.
It's always a beautiful day when its a holiday - actually, election day. This photo was taken today at 11:30 AM near the lookout.
It was also a day of change as Americans across the country defiantly voted for change. The Neo-Cons and the Evangelical votes have shifted their loyalties and have begun to question their leaders course of action while the President keeps reiterating "we are staying the course," and "we are winning the war in Iraq," while record number of Shiites, Sunnis, and American soldiers are dying in Iraq as the country is spiraling into a civil war.
Do we really want to stay the course? Has invading Iraq made life safer for all citizens around the world?
"Hate begets hate; violence begets violence; toughness begets a greater toughness. We must meet the forces of hate with the power of love." - Martin Luther King (1958)
If I had to imagine how Heaven would be like, this would be close (minus the houses) - a view on top of Lanikai looking out to the Mokulua islands. The image does not do this place justice!
If you click on the image, it will take you to the Flickr page where I posted the WHOLE panoramic photo but Flickr resize the image and shrunk it = (
Sooooo, I decided to upload it HERE - Your browser will most likely resize the image to fit the width of your browser window, so just click on the image to expand to its large original size. I hope you enjoy it - let me know if you don't =)
Heidi's been on my mind recently, so I just wanted to dedicate this post to Heidi, who passed away at the young age of 26. A bright, beautiful, and energetic person, she is missed by the many she touched directly and indectly through her warm smile and kind disposition. A music video - Chasing Cars - Snow Patrol When it rains - head for a swim in the warm waters of the Pacific Ocean! These four photos taken this evening at ~6:00 PM at/near Sandy's
With more private residences deciding to block off/chain-up public beach access ways adjacent to their homes, there will be less and less access to the prime beaches!
