Rainy days are beautiful

SunsetsGosh, its been a while! I've been busy with so many things, I've had to take a break from blogging.

For the past week, we've had some serious record breaking rainfall in less than a week, causing major flooding and damages to property from the North Shore to the west side.

On this day, as we were driving under the highway overpass, there was a break in the rain as the warm orange glow of the sunset shined through the windshield, reminding us that rain or shine, sunsets will always be beautiful!

I hope you all will have many more beautiful sunsets to enjoy!!!

What a gorgeous portrait. You caught her beauty and smile at just the right moment with the sun on her face.

I agree with Jilly....it was rare when the sun came out..you should of heard my whole family,as soon as it was sunny ALL WE TALKED ABOUT "should we run to the beach even if it's for a hour??!!!" here were trying to get OTHER things done in life and the minute the sun is shinning it was as though someone was holding us all back!! I can't believe you rode your bike in the rain...simply loving life!!! :)

Hi Kala! With a 48h day I would have time to enjoy your blog more often; shame on the time controller… ;))
WOW! She's a beautiful model, but the artist is also excellent!
The Thanksgiving shot is stunning!! I'm speechless...
Meanwhile Blogtrotter is departing Tunisia 2007, but managed to keep the delay in posting on twelve (12) months only. Great achievement… ;)) Enjoy, comment and have a great weekend!

I beg your forgiveness for my cutting and pasting – yet constantly reworking – this comment, but there was no way on Earth I would be able to make it around the whole globe to wish everybody a Merry Christmas otherwise.

The magical elves that constitute my staff have demonstrated their lack of respect in either not showing up for work at all, and those that have all seem a little worse for wear, if you catch my drift. All they seem to do is sit around smoking cigarettes that, quite frankly, smell funny. And they play cards and tell dirty jokes rather than do their jobs! Consequently, the reindeer are all filthy and out of shape. And you know, the two rabbits, one wallaby and three wombats I’ve drafted in just don’t cut it as replacements.

Anyway, from myself, Henry and Ezra, have a Merry Christmas/Winter Solstice/Hanukkah/Festivus and a happy New Year!

I hope that all of your holiday photos turn out to be triumphs, your stocking is stuffed full of lots of tasty treats and not coal and that all your pumpkin pies are all as sweet just the way that you like them.

Hi Kala,

I hope 2009 will be better than 2008, 2007, and 2006. I do think our government will be inspired by our new President Obama -- at least I hope so.

I would like to see the War in Irag end and I would like to see the killing stop everywhere.

It is my hope that Japan will stop slaughtering whales and raping virgin forests.

And I hope the people will lose their clubs and no longer club baby seals to death.

What a world we have and live in. 2009 could be so much better than it will be.

Hi Kala, Yes, I, too, miss your daily posts which haven't occurred for a long time now. Life tends to get busy and busier sometimes. The portrait is wonderful. It seems as though the subjects smile lights up the world!

I'm getting impatient, Kala!!!!!! I LOVE your photos, but I want more. I know you're busy but what's more important...your own life or the life of CDP viewers? Plus you owe it to your loyal followers, such as I! ;-)
