Lights ... Camera ... DP Theme ...
Its been a little humid the last couple of days due to the "Kona" weather, so my favorite place this morning was in the shower! For obvious reasons, you can't go there, so I bring you a post-shower photo. The other option was the ocean, but surf's up so no cameras there =) Hopefully, this photo will not offend anyone. Hey, great idea for your photo! And it sounds like you have a global fan club now :-). Your shots of Honolulu are wonderful--this is the first time I've been able to load your page successfully, don't know why it goes more slowly than others. I have a photo request: could you post a photo of the sets every couple of weeks? I'd love to see what the surf is like there. (Only wind surfing in Seattle.)

Oh my gosh!!!I thought Kala was a girl too, and couldn't figure out who that Nicolas character could be. Thanks, Edwin S, for pointing that out. Well, although the photo rendered me speechless for a few moments, all the comments really had me rolling with laughter. Ok, there's gotta be a way to start up some kind inter DP romance. All the single female DPers please send your applications to me and I will set you up on dates with the faceless Mr. Kala. On your turn you will have to meet him on a beach where there will be multiple shirtless men roaming around. You must come with a plate of homebaked cookies and you must pick him out of the crowd by recognizing his abs. =)

I'm there TOMORROW!! I'll do the walk-thru...the "leg work" for this IDPR...might have to do the back-work and the front-work...don't want to leave anything to the imagination here! And I think we better let the ladies know exACTly what they're getting...so I better take my measuring tape and get some important stats...like chest, waist and deltoid size!

ok...my sister sent me your photo and I have to tell you that I have requested that she take an extra suitcase so she can bring you back home from Hawaii...and ship you to me. I'm older, nicer, sweeter, and very able to transport you wherever you want to go, including to the gym to work out with me. Thank you for the nice landscape shot from the islands!!!! Too bad you're not regularly at my gym! I do have an opening for a pool boy (but don't have a pool, haha.)

Aloha and mahalo nui for stopping by - I was laughing at some really crazy and original comments - some of you should really do stand up comedy! I posted the image during a playful, spur of the moment, not thinking straight mood trying to come up with a silly photo for the self portrait theme, so I guess it will be safe to say this will be the first and last bare skin photo of me since we've got the theme now out of the way =) Aren't we all breathing a sigh of relief!!! I am sure Dana was rolling her eyes when she saw this photo haha! Foxy boy was wondering what all the commotion was about!
To answer Kates question - the thing hanging on the door is this small little stuff dog thingy that someone gave to me =) Surprised you noticed! That was very observant!

Yes, me too, thought Kala was a female name, but of course, goes to show the culture differences! You have been taking care of yourself very well, that's for sure! I envy that you can do so much exercise directly in nature, no boring gym necessary...so as you say, many are in great shape where there is such a climate and beautiful surroundings...

I just want to say that I like the way the flash is reflected in the pic. It's neat the way it illuminates your face and yet hides it at the same time...but I'm sure that wasn't intentional!
Hope you closed your eyes, it must have been bright!
yay! the one person that noticed the special effects lighting I was actually most proud of about this pic and felt compelled as a result to post this. I had intentional done this by cupping my hands over the flash in order to get that effect - the light did not affect my eyes in any way because of the positioning of the hand over the flash!
