Very impressive photography and you must be physically fit beyond description. Also, are any wild animals found on this mountains? It would be frightful to come around a craig and see a Hawaiian BigFoot creature smiling at you.

Looks dangerous! Along with this great shot, you must have gotten lots more on your hike. You're like a mile behind your friend, guess they couldn't wait for you taking all those photos. :)

Also loved the the links to the fireworks. I'm a fan, having been born in Madeira - the "Pearl of the Atlantic," where during their New Year’s Eve celebrations, its main city (Funchal) features the "Largest Fireworks Display in the World," according to the Guinness Book of World Records.
