A Blue Kite-Surfer

While running at Kailua beach on this blustery day, I happened to stumbled upon this blue kite descending from the skies and right into my path - fortunately, I happened to have my faithful camera on hand to take this shot! Hope you find this pic cool and refreshing if you are one of those suffering from triple digit temperatures - warm and inviting if you happen to be in your winter months.

So, not only do you take great pictures, you also run, on the beach, WITH your camera...my question is: with or without the towel wrapped around your waist? where do you hang it (the camera, i mean)?

You've started something here ;)

And Dana hasn't answered how the both of you know each other. I must've missed that post many moons ago.

Dana and I met at the Uni about three or four years ago -

Thats actually the first time I ran with a camera in hand at the beach - running on sand and holding a camera is a chore!

Thanks for the refresh , I need some coolness.
This sport in Greece it is forbitten because it is very dangerous for the bathers but there are many kite -surfers .They practise it in specific coasts.

Kala, Makes my heart skip a beat--I love it! While visiting Hawaii, watching the kite surfers was my favorite pastime. Water and surf, when I'm in a particular mood, also almost brings me to tears--it's so primal!!

Nice colours. Do you think the person is donning a traditional hairdo? It kind of looks like Maori men's buns on their heads when they perform Kapa Haka (traditional Maori performing arts).
