Brookville Inspired

IMG_1000800
I was doing a run along the coast about a month ago when I came across these birds and immediate thought of Abraham Lincoln - not the President, but his relative of the same name from Brookville.
I'm not sure what type of birds these are but they have the best life! They can fly where ever they want without having to worry about rising fuel cost and airfare prices. Prices for round trip plane tickets to the mainland U.S. have risen several hundred dollars in the last several weeks since Aloha Airlines shut down passenger flight operations.

And, the fares are probably going to get higher across the industry. Rather than visit, I guess I'll just have to fantasize about many of my favorite places, Hawai'i being one of them. Take lots of photos for us to enjoy, Kala.

Beautiful shot, Kala. I love the title!

Here in Europe we still have many cheap airlines - hope yours comes back on again.

Thank you Kala. I am not familiar with this type of bird but they look neat to me. I hope you are OK and having a ball in paradise.
