Hawaiian Full Moon Take 2

This was the second photo I took on Sept. 8th at about 1 AM once the night skies cleared of clouds. Thanks for the feedback from Ame of Santa Clara Daily Photo and Christy and Wendi of Las Vegas Daily Photo. For Freckled One and others - the camera used was Canon S3 IS mounted onto a tripod and using as 12X Optical Zoom (versus digital zoom) - And for Lisi - this is a tribute to your moon photo as well =)

Hope u all have a nice weekend - and Dana will hopefully be back soon once her work things ease up.

Aloha and Mahalo
A hui hou!

Kala, you should be WAY proud of this one! I took some photos of it, too, but with no tripod and just my kit lens, well. . . you can imagine. sigh. Thanks for posting this shot!

Kala, Can't wait for my family to emerge from their trundle beds because they just gave me the very same camera for my birthday, and I want them to see this shot!! Whoo! Hoo!! I passed on the tripod, tho. Hmmm. Perhaps I should reconsider.

Yeah, were are the stars, huuuu ?

Sure, that one was done in studio. No one has ever picture the moon, nor walked on it. it's well known !!!

this night was weird - when the moon was as bright as it was, its difficult to capture the stars

Gorgeous shot. I have a picture of the full moon on the same day (night) since we had a Full moon Beach Party on the Koh Phanang Island in Thailand . :)
