Day and Night and the Honolulu City Lights
Grab a chair, an umbrella, and a book to read...
The midnight city lights of Waikiki and Honolulu...
Guess the exact GPS location this night photo was taken and you win a round trip ticket for two to the all exclusive island of Lo'ihi, where you will be immersed in crystal clear blue ocean water and luscious red molten lava meeting you at the sea. Or, you could simply click on the image for a close-up pic.
The day photo was taken this morning by Fort Derussy Beach in waikiki. Night photo taken at 12:40 AM last night/early this morn.

Hi Kala, do you ever sleep or are you always taking photos?!I would love to take a rest and read a book under one of those umbrellas. Excellent night shot - lots of twinkling colors.
would be wonderful to finish off the memoir of geisha there!!
I was actually at work when I took the first pic and coming home from work when I stopped to take he second pic =)
That's a hard guess!!! ;-) But very nice!
Hey Kala,
Thanks for swinging by my blog! These pictures are stunning...I'm jealous. :-) Enjoy Hawaii!
Thanks for dropping in to my photoblog, I must say that your pictures are really great, sharp, clean, and well coloured. i wish mine were so good.

Boy am I glad Spring has just started her, and Summer is so close! Nice shot (I'm jealous. can you tell?)
These are both gorgeous. Is that one really loooooong work day or do you have two jobs?
Evil Cake Lady: I attend class and a job during the day and another at night after coaching so the day ends literally past midnight, then my studies till about 2 or 3 AM. =)
not a bad life you have, nice beach, very nice city, hmmm
The beach scene looks like great Labor Day activity!
With these shots it appears as though everyday is a vacation. I can't think of a more beautiful place to live. I love the way you captured all the city lights!
just looked at this shot again, but only upper half with blue parasols and a little red house sitting on them - interesting shot you get
