Located near Halona Blowhole (a natural lava tube formation) and not far from my previous post on Sandy Beach. The love scene in "From Here to Eternity" (1953) was filmed here.
Sorry for the delay but I've finally posted 21 pictures from the Canoe regatta [ View images here ]
An update for those interested - I am now very sure we will reach 1000 this week - in the mean time, you still have time to [ guess a number here ]

hey there Kala,
ReplyDeleteMy Daily Photo blog is
here
Till then...
wow, thats a magnificent view. It must be great living near places like this.
ReplyDeleteHey kala, I was wondering, how did you change the dimensions of your blog? It's wider than mine and it allows you to post bigger pictures. I tried posting today and the picture went into the sidebar.
ReplyDeleteWow cool bay and I really loved that film. you have just reminded me that near Saint Tropez they filmed the beach scene from Chitty chitty bang bang.I must try to get over there some time.
ReplyDeleteDon't forget it’s the Saint Maxime DP funny caption competition tomorrow.
Gorgeous and spectacular, it must really be great to live in the middle of such natural beauty, and the perspective of the shot is wonderful!
ReplyDeleteStunning, as usual. Not taking away a thing from your technique, but is it possible to take a bad picture there?? Wonderful location. I think we're all just a wee bit envious!
ReplyDeletevery very nice!
ReplyDeleteWonderful! The color of the water is amazing!
ReplyDeleteSooo gorgeous! Are there stairs to get to the beach or do people just slide, I mean carefully navigate down the cliffside?
ReplyDeletethis is where i wanna be right now! and no. 15 is my fave pic of the set ;)
ReplyDeleteHi Kris! No. 15 was actually my fav as well and one aI thought about using as a post but its now in the image gallery bin.
ReplyDeleteFor Felicia - you hike down along this walk/passage way - but you can also "slide" althought it might makefor a bumpy ride on the tush (okole) ;)
To Kate - u r absolutely on the mark - the view makes for ez photographing! Point and shoot - thats it hehe
To Edwin: you need to change the template pixel widths - there was a long write up and description I posted as a comment to someone else question that I will need to look for - will get back to u on that.
to the rest of you - have a nice week and happy photo blogging !!!
hi Edwin - go HERE and read my comment - theres a detail info on how to do it =)
ReplyDeleteHey! Like the easy layout on the blog now. I got to try and fix that myself but the only thing I´ve had time with lately is basically just post a picture. Been a lot with work.
ReplyDeleteAnd the world cup is being played of course =D
Have´nt even updated my adresses in the links which I´m really ashamed over.
After this year I would´ve needed a swim at that beautiful beach cove. Unfortunatly I can only dream until next year =(
Great picture anyway, will be my background picture at work for a couple of days!
Great little beach - well caught
ReplyDeleteThat water looks so inviting. I love the colour. It doesn't surprise me that such a famous love scene was filmed here. The area is breathtaking
