Hi kala, and thank you for stopping and commenting about my truck wheels pictures. Yes, as you said, most people never think to take pictures of the most obvious things. I just posted a water picture today and it is totally different or not what one thinks when they think about taking a picture of a creek.
Your ocean picture shows a lot more if you take the time to look at it. The spray is one thing and it shows up against the deep blue sea behind it. If you have ever flown over the ocean then you know the ocean is black and only changes color to blue where the water is not so deep and light can still penetrate down and then it changes to green and then to brown just before you touch down on Midway Island or Wake Island out in the Pacific. You have almost all of those colors in your picture and some of the brown can be seen (it is the sand color) through the foam in the foreground.
It is a great photograph of the sea.
Ok, the previous comment is so thoughtful and true that I feel silly posting my immediate thought upon seeing your beautiful picture.
Which was, "I need a vacation."
:) Thanks for stopping by Cleveland in Photos!
HI Kala! Thank you so much for pictures like this one... especially when here in Grenoble the weather is really dull, grey and cloudy.
Have a nice day.
Besides thinking I need a vacation, I was also thinking that I need to move to the beach. Tortola - a little bit of England in the Caribbean.
Oh! I can't get tired of this photos!
This are breathtaking! i wish I could be there like this boy... what an amazing sea!
A fantastic ocean view with some interesting horizon lines. Beautiful!
Like Laura, I was thinking "ooo, this makes me want to go to the beach!". What an AWESOME display of just a small piece of our magnigicent world!!! Incidently, anyone watching the special on Discovery about the planet? It's on every Sunday night through Earth Day starting this Sunday I think (sorry, I'm thinking aloud...obviously nobody is watching it yet, it hasn't started). It's a five year in the making documentary on nooks and hidden rarely seen crannies of the planet Earth. I don't even have the Discovery channel and here I am advertising for it! I just WISH I could watch it. :)

Kala, do you surf? I guess so...
your wish came true in a way! today i surfed on waves of mis-conduct of cooperation between colleagues (to put it politely). very nice picture for first impression and for the deep reasons that the first comment brings to light. thank you!
Oh my....It is always a pleasure for me to visit you:) I can make this photo my wallpaper...
One can't resist looking at yet another surf shot either!
Agree with Oya-this will be my screensaver today...then I'm going to just stand around like that chap on the beach.
Work be damned!
kala i don't think you have to apologize for posting another surf shot--we all love to see them!
oh it's torture, torture that I can't be there!
YEAH !
Oh my, I'm almost in that guy's head, weighing the mighty power of the waves, guessing the best way to attack them, gauging the pleasure to be had, the risk perhaps...
Brilliant shot; I never tire of them beach scenes !
I love how the size of the young man gives this scene perspective and power. Gorgeous!
Ohhh, never enough of ocean pictures!!!
