While running at Kailua beach on this blustery day, I happened to stumbled upon this blue kite descending from the skies and right into my path - fortunately, I happened to have my faithful camera on hand to take this shot! Hope you find this pic cool and refreshing if you are one of those suffering from triple digit temperatures - warm and inviting if you happen to be in your winter months.
hopefully temperatures stopped rising here but you're shot is surely refreshing and very blue! ;-) Thanks!
ReplyDeleteSo, not only do you take great pictures, you also run, on the beach, WITH your camera...my question is: with or without the towel wrapped around your waist? where do you hang it (the camera, i mean)?
ReplyDeleteYou've started something here ;)
And Dana hasn't answered how the both of you know each other. I must've missed that post many moons ago.
The many differnet kinds of blue is what I love about your shot...
ReplyDelete@edwin s.
hahaha, goooood question! =)
Dana and I met at the Uni about three or four years ago -
ReplyDeleteThats actually the first time I ran with a camera in hand at the beach - running on sand and holding a camera is a chore!
blue on blue on blue in the distance but very close...I feel like I am there...I can feel the breeze and everything
ReplyDeleteNice capture ...I love the colour !
ReplyDeleteThanks for the refresh , I need some coolness.
This sport in Greece it is forbitten because it is very dangerous for the bathers but there are many kite -surfers .They practise it in specific coasts.
Kala, Makes my heart skip a beat--I love it! While visiting Hawaii, watching the kite surfers was my favorite pastime. Water and surf, when I'm in a particular mood, also almost brings me to tears--it's so primal!!
ReplyDeleteoh man, I wish I was there!
ReplyDeletebeautiful!
Blue, blue, and more blue. Even in the reflection on the sand. Great photo.
ReplyDeleteI love the blues - Makes me even more impatient for our summer season. Our expected minimum temperature for tonight is minus 8!!!
ReplyDeleteBlue Hawaii, no doubts!
ReplyDeleteOh my, that parachute looks like it wants to pop out of the picture. Beautiful photo!!!
ReplyDeleteSpectacular photo!!!
ReplyDeleteVery nice shot you just happened upon! It's beautiful.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful sky! The blue waters reflect the blue skies perfectly!
ReplyDeleteNice colours. Do you think the person is donning a traditional hairdo? It kind of looks like Maori men's buns on their heads when they perform Kapa Haka (traditional Maori performing arts).
ReplyDeletethe blue tones here are so fine, make´s me dream myself to the beach...
ReplyDeleteSo fresh!!!
ReplyDeleteMeg You got some really sharp eyes to notice that helmet shape - its actually not hair bun but a helmet he was wearing - strange looking helmet!
ReplyDeleteah - so beautiful!
ReplyDeleteThe colors are luminescent. Incredible study of light on water.
