This is Hawai'i...

IMG_03761024...well, one part of Hawai'i anyway, with its beautiful green lush mountains and deep blue oceans and cool trade winds swaying palm trees! Breathtaking indeed! Imagine seeing this in person!

It is beautiful. There are so many places in this world we live in that are just as beautiful as this but not so many places with weather like this. The cost of living would drive me away and I could no longer afford to stop for a visit but there was a time, long ago in 1950s when I was there four times in three months. In those days it was 26 hours of flying in a piston engine airplane from Tokyo to Midway or Wake to Honolulu on to San Francisco, then to Chicago and getting off in Dayton, Ohio. Free too!

I was pleased so see you are back for the last three posts.
