Mauka to Makai
From the mountains, I decided to bring u back to the ocean, here with Sara, Linda and I at Makapu'u about a week ago, right before they left on a flight. Unfortunately, the lighting was bad as the sun was setting behind the mountains but the picture brings a smile to my face.
To answer some questions from the two previous post: For Abraham Lincoln of Brookeville, Ohio: the hike took approximately 5 hours round trip For others, the unnamed location was in Waikiki and it sure does exists!!!
5 hours is a long hike. I am so happy you can make hikes like that. My wife and I are in our 70s and she just finished breast cancer radiation but we tried to walk .688 tenths of a mile mostly uphill in a nature sanctuary and probably got one-half mile and had to sit down and rest. I have only half of both lungs and other problems so it is just hard to imagine doing what you do. Thanks so much for answering my question. I appreciate it.
I like your picture today as it reminds me of the power of the earth. That water out front can be a powerful force on earth like your mountains yesterday.
Your work is always nice to see.
My grease sandwich recipe is under the Canada goose picture today.
in one of the photoblogs i frequent, the author always does a jump at places that he visits and capturing mid air. so what say u or your friends do a jump next time?
When I lived in Honolulu I had a book called the best hikes of hawaii. I have been on the hike of which you speak. It is awesome to say the least. I love the beach you are standing on there.Heck, I loved every beach on Oauhu. Is there still a beach bus? I used to ride the beach bus to a different beach every week. Girls gotta have goals and mine was what I called my winter tour of the beaches! I found you could never have enough beach stuff and caried everything around in a little red wagon!
I am so sorry to hear about your wife, Abraham and send her love and best wishes from the UK.
I am still trying to put the picture of missing UK little girl Madeleine's face into the minds of many, so, if your readers would pop over to Cheltenham to have a look i'd be grateful. You never know she could be in your road or mine by now. We can all look! Thanks.

Beautiful view, beautiful women, and a photographer who takes beautiful pictures. What more could we ask for??!!
As kate said: Wonderful places and girls. In two words: gorgeous nature.
Wow, great, phantastic view.
I think the light in this photo gave it a special touch. Perhaps even poetic!
