What to post
I am quite busy this week, so I'm having to use a photo I took three weeks ago - hope you will enjoy this nonetheless - have a wonderful day! =)
Oh, btw, I thought this was a great story to share:
http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/17748997/
Its about a japanese millionaire who purchased a bunch of million dollar homes in one of the most expensive neighborhoods on O'ahu and providing them rent free to low income families with a lot of children. With the crazy rental market and housing prices, its nice to know these families are getting a huge opportunity to provide safe and secure shelter for their family rent free!!!

are you kidding?
this is gorgeous! I mean, it's an amazing landscape!! COOL!
Do you live next to this beautiful place? you'd be really lulchy!!
I mean lucky not lulchy! LOL
All of your photographs are beautiful and while we or I do not have anything like this I can dream a bit about cornfields and soybean fields being transformed into wonderlands.

I think I've run out of superlatives...this is breathtaking. Did you climb up there or is there a road?
Rich, the really rich, used to sit on their money watching it grow so they could pass it down and it rarely seemed to bring happiness. I'm enjoying hearing about responsible millionaires handing it back to the people or actually doing some real visible good with it. Cynics may deride but it's got to be better like this...

I forgot to mention - I hiked up to the top to photograph this - theres a lot of hiking trails on the islands and I try to organize one every week - this is one of those =)
Great pic of a beautiful sightseeing...
Always remembers me Lost...
There's a mystical feeling to this photo. Perhaps it's the effect of the clouds? And, Angela, even the "robber barons" of the USA in history gave back to the people; not enough, but some did. We can thank Carnegie for the library buildings that spread throughout the country. But, you're right; we need more philanthropy. I wish that Señor Slim of TelMex fame would do that for the Mexican people--he's the third richest man in the WORLD!!
That's great. Stunning photo - really glad you decided to share it.
no need to apologise, kala!
this shot is more that enough, its marvellous!
Breathtaking...I guess all the superlatives are overworked but this is just plain beautiful.
I just read about that millionaire and his generosity this morning. Would that we would be generous to the best of our ability. It would ease a lot of pain around the world.
not a bad find in your archives!
Heavenly.
Awesome view, and the colours are breathtaking.
Oh, gorgeous...
Breathless
what a view, to die for =)
and what a story!
Yeeeeee haaaaa !
You can treat us to photos one year old if they are that gorgeous!
I just love this scenery of volcano land falling straight into the sea. When we lived in Tahiti we did a fair bit of bushwalking and I remember coming across views like this. I treasure those memories, it's exhilarating !
I am puzzled by the story of the Japanese tycoon letting homeless people live for ten years for free in these mansions provided they pay the bills - can they afford just to maintain the pool and the garden? How comfortable with those people be living in those mansions? How will their friends react to this?
And what about the claim that he's doing it to drive prices in the neighbourhood down so he can snatch even more homes? OK, these may well be just nasty rumors, but I'm not comfortable with this story.
damn! this is so fine! you live in such a great place of this planet! you must be blessed :)
How could we possibly not enjoy this view! Oh! Hawai is so fantasticly beautiful. Nature is a real power there!
I'm on top of the world!
A beautiful photo and a great news! How good I feel now to know there still are good persons in this world.
