Unicorn
"If this horse had a unihorn, it would be a unicorn" - or so my friend joked as we looked at these beautiful animals. As my friend would say, I heart horses! =D Tomorrow is FRIDAY!!! WOOOOT!
Horses are gifts from the gods and every time I see a horse my head swirls. I love horses almost as much as I love dogs. It is hard to show a horse because most people expect to see a four-legged animal with a nobel head. I see them as the wild animals they once were; curious, intelligent and family oriented. We can learn a lot from a herd of horses. You captured a scene that should go on a calendar.
My picture, today, is a candid portrait of our granddaughter with a bit of an explanation. You might be interested.
wow....its amazing. I never know there has such beautiful grassland and horses. I like the second one, because of its great background...give me some wild but peaceful and joyful atmosphere. NICE SHOT.
Kala, I always love your beach scenes, but I've noticed recently that you are broadening the subject matter of your photos which I applaud. As lovely as the surf and sand is (and I'm always so envious!), I'm enjoying seeing other aspects of island life. These horses are really quite wonderful and I'd like to know more about them.
Ha ha! ;) Wouldn't it be great to find unicorns in Hawaii? !!! :)
ReplyDeleteGorgeous photo. Those horses are really beautiful. Are they wild horses? Or does someone own that beautiful piece of land?
ReplyDeleteI believe someone does own this land as well as the horses - they were behind a fence =)

I heart horses too. The baby is super cute. I agree with Kate - I love the beach but also really enjoy seeing the other side of the islands.
ReplyDeletewhat a little cutie that colt is! It looks like Shangri-La!
ReplyDeleteThese pictures are so beautiful. The far away landscape reminds me of Lord of the Rings films. Beautifully captured. Well done.
