Sunset on the Beach...

... free movie on a large screen and live entertainment on the sands of Queen's Beach in Waikiki. This event takes place on Saturday and Sunday from 4 PM to 9 PM every other weekend - I think. Anyway, the next one is on July 1st and 2nd - so maybe its every week - hmmm. This photo was taken this past Sunday at 7:45 PM. [ View an image gallery of 22 photos here ]

    I feel a little, shall we say, crowded! The gallery for some reason amuses me: people, people, people everywhere! Incidentally, the sky is gorgeous.

    We have something like that here but its just off the beach.In fact there is a free concert this weekend.

    Reminds me of when I lived in Brisbane, Australia. They used to have outdoor cinema in one of the parks during a couple of months in the summer. You had to pay though, but it's a bit different than a regular cinema.

    How fun! We have something similiar here in NYC but it's in the park...which is nowhere near as appealing as watching a movie on the beach in Hawaii!!!

    That looks totally fun, yes, we do have film showings here too, in Brooklyn, but as others all say, not the same as Hawaii...

    Hi Kala, I'm finally done with my big project a work, yay! Beautiful sunset. Here in Balboa Park they show movies outdoors and project it onto a big wall.
