Two Hands

This 1997 bronze sculture, titled "Rainbow," was done by artist Shige Yamada for the University of Hawai'i Athletics and is located on the side of the Stan Sheriff Athletic Center. The hands and ball represent cooperation and teamwork while the rainbow colors symbolize the University's former nickname - "rainbows." There's actually more story behind this nickname since the University decided to change it to the "Warriors" but I will end it here.
Thats a good point. On this night that the photo was taken, they were so brazen and aggressive with solicitation to passer bys I don't know if they would have cared if a police officer was standing in front of them. This was about 12:30 AM.
The image was perhaps one of the more interesting responses I got and on the one hand as we were talking about this, my friend said it was good to bring awareness to these issues and keep the post from a social workers point of view and I agree to a certain extent since I've worked at the police department as well before returning to graduate school, but I decided to remove it in place of a more "neutral" image... Hope ppl enjoy this one a little more.

You were brave to take this womans picture - I would think she might be upset if she saw you snapping at her!

Welcome to the Daily Photo family! It doesn't matter how cheap the camera is, what matters is what we get from them. And your shots are lovely.
