To take this photo, we climbed over a fence, got stratched up on some brushes, climbed over boulders and finally made it to the top of a "psudo" trail. I also took a photo of a whale jumping out of the ocean, birds nesting along the wall of Diamond Head, and almost got to photograph a sinking ship, but here is what it is. You can see some of the other pics on my
Flickr page if you are curious.
Mahalo for your comments, and best wishes on the coming week! =)
Unbelievably beautiful and well worth the efforts you made to get the perfect shot.
ReplyDeleteThe texture of the sea...amazing.

ReplyDeleteOh wow, your photographs are amazing. Today's is extraoardinary but so are they all. I stayed in Honolulu a lifetime ago and just loved it. One day I'll come back and go to other islands. You live in a stunning part of the world.
Thankyou so much for visiting my two DP blogs. And also great to know you read my main blog. Dead chuffed I am!
So glad you commented - now I've found YOU!

ReplyDeleteAnd your adventure worths totally for this photo! It's really beautiful, makes me travel to peaceful place...
ReplyDeleteWHAT A BRILLIANT PHOTO!
ReplyDeleteThe composition is wonderful Kala!
And thanks for all the efforts in getting there. Now I'm off to have a look at your FlickR page...
Wow. All I can say is "Wow" when I look at your pictures. The bigger the better. The first time I was in Hawaii was in 1953 and the last time in 1954 and in those days Diamond Head was the largest thing on the beach. It must be a different world there nowadays.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful composition and subject! A true artist goes through a lot for art; what's a few scratches?
ReplyDeleteThanks for sacrificing yourself to get this amazing shot!
ReplyDeleteThanks for sacrificing life and limb for the DP community Kala! Be careful out there (but not toooo careful, as we sure appreciate photos like this - HA!)

They have said already everything, but I was thinking something like,
